Our Home Inspectors are trained and certified on pools and spas. That training includes hands-on field work, constant continuing educations and training by a local State Licensed Pool Contractor. However, all training begins with the InterNACHI course on Pool and Spa Inspections.
Each inspector must take the course and pass the exam every two years, at a minimum. This course helps to train field inspectors on how pools and spas work; the circulation, heating and filtering systems and components; the electrical components; water chemistry; safety issues; maintenance recommendations; and provides an inspection procedural checklist. The focus of this training is on the water of residential pools and spas, and the systems and components that move or change it. Our inspectors are trained to inspect both fresh water and salt-water pool systems.
